Measuring the Success of a Squarespace Website

Measuring Success on Squarespace in a Google+ Hangout with Big Picture Web.

There's a quote that comes to mind any time someone tells me that web design is subjective:

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.
— Daniel Patrick Moynihan, American politician, ambassador, and sociologist

Logically, if the website exists to fulfill a business objective (e.g., sales, leads, new friends), then the web design that produces the most amount of success is objectively the best design, right?

Squarespace's on-board analytics system is nice for quick reference to popular metrics such as pageviews and traffic sources, but when it comes to analyzing business performance, nothing beats a good old-fashioned Google Analytics integration.

Join the Squarespace Google Analytics Hangout

If you're looking for advice on how to use Google Analytics and Squarespace together, sign up for our Squarespace Google Analytics Hangout on Thursday, October 18th at 6:45 pm Central Time. The first 9 people to sign up will join the show live, and those who express interest beyond that will be able to watch us discuss important Google Analytics/Squarespace topics such as:

  • How to Install Google Analytics on Squarespace 5
  • Key Reports in Google Analytics for Squarespace Users
  • Tracking Your Goals With Google Analytics on Squarespace

This is the event for those looking to stop guessing what's working and start knowing what's working with their website design. We have so much fun with our Hanging Out and Talking Squarespace series, and hope you'll be able to join us this week to look at measuring the success of a Squarespace website.
